After a year of on-and-off lockdowns, shift to remote (commute-free) work, and the resulting change in consumption behaviors, Starbucks found themselves in the red in 2020 – and in need of a big holiday season.
The Starbucks Holiday Gift Card is a perennial winner for their business, but this year they introduced it with a twist. Their holiday gift cards had the ability to be co-branded with other companies’ branding.
Starbucks brought us on for an influencer activation to promote this new holiday gift card offering. Our creative team spun it into a campaign about “reinventing the business card”, whereby we talked about the ability to brand Starbucks Gift Cards with your own personal contact details – changing the status quo of the business card into a stunning networking gift.
